A recollection is a backward look at yourself dreaming of the future. The kite is a child's dream lost in a set of possibilities of events. The child looks like she stepped out of an old black-and-white photograph. The edges of the sky are supposed to be variations of the girl's life. The kite symbolizes a childhood dream before the fate followed one of the given variations. Perhaps there is only one seagull but it exists in each version of life.
